Consequently rearrange lots of rendering ops, and strip calls to
updateTransparent

to avoid this, we rename FbTk::Menu::update(int index)
-> FbTk::Menu::updateMenu(int index)
this is mostly cosmetic, but if it makes the life of a compiler happy, well ..
